MY STUDENTS

“My Students” is an installation project by Photographer and Instructor John R. Glembin.

In this behind-the-scenes documentary, we follow John as he works to capture the visages and dreams of Photography's next generation: The students of his 2022 class. Highlighting the impact of quickly growing diversity in the Photographic Industry, "My Students" asks us to acknowledge our histories, so we may celebrate our present, and work towards even brighter futures.

The Educational Cut of the film is extended to include more depth about the medium of the wet plate process and reflections on photographic history, produced to be displayed in tandem with the final photographic installation which may be viewed within the ongoing Community Arts Collection of the Downtown Campus of Milwaukee Area Technical College.
