K. Synold is a passionate, formally-trained commercial photographer specializing in photo-illustration. Whether it’s behind the lens or in the construction of composite works, Katie continuously strives to realize innovative ways of representing a subject. A storyteller at heart, she creates narrative, conceptual imagery that captures product, idea, and character alike, elevating subjects into graphic compositions that are as thoughtfully compelling as they are visually arresting. Through strong technical skills and a finely detailed approach, she aims for faultless quality in her work, while maintaining a firm emphasis on the vision that inspires it.

While foremost trained in digital imaging, Katie is likewise endeavoring to increase her knowledge and familiarity of traditional and alternative processes. These physical, more tactile, processes have brought great inspiration to all of her photography, informing her attention to detail and her belief that every shot — every story — matters.
